On March 6, North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center will host the fifth biennial Community Unity Event in support of its Westbury clinic, The Leeds Place – Serving Young People.  The event will take place at the Westbury Manor beginning at 6:15pm.

The event will honor:  Habeeb Ahmed, Islamic Center of Long Island and the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights; Marjory Giordani, Valley National Bank:  Councilwoman Viviana Russell, Town of North Hempstead and Gary Russell.

The purpose of this special event is to:

• Create a feeling of solidarity and unity among friends and colleagues who share a common interest in the emotional well-being of our children, families and communities.
• Increase awareness of the programs and services at The Leeds Place so needed in the ethnically diverse areas of Westbury and surrounding towns.    

Community Unity will be the first of the Guidance Center’s 60th Anniversary Events.

The mission of North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center Guidance Center is to restore and strengthen the emotional well-being of children and families.  The Guidance Center leads the way in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, training, parent education, and advocacy. Offices are located in Roslyn Heights, Westbury and Manhasset.
