The critically-acclaimed American Chamber Ensemble will be in concert on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 3:00 PM when the Music Department of Hofstra University presents the ensemble at The Helene Fortunoff Theater of Monroe Lecture Center on California Avenue on the University’s south campus in Hempstead.
Selections will be Bohuslav Martinu’s Serenade for 2 clarinets, violin, viola and cello, Gabriel Faure’s Quartet No. 1, Op. 15 for piano, violin, viola and cello and Ernst von Dohnanyi’s Sextet in C Major for piano, viola, viola, cello, clarinet and French horn.
Performers will be ACE Directors, pianist Blanche Abram, clarinetist Naomi Drucker and pianist Marilyn Lehman, with violinist Eriko Sato, violist Lois Martin and cellist Chris Finckel. Guest artists will be Andrew Copper, French horn and Stanley Drucker, clarinet.
