On Saturday April 20th, Dreamtrancer & ThunderTom productions brings you : Leather & Lace.This event is held monthly the Revolution Bar & Music Hall in Amityville, bringing Long Island the best in alternative night club entertainment. The night will feature live performances by three of New York's best up and coming musical acts.The main act of the evening will be The Amatory Murder, a cutting edge rock band with modern electronic and industrial sounds topped off with the smooth and charismatic vocal stylings of frontman and founding member, Christian Peppas. Since their debut album Racing the Relapse which was released in 2008, the Amatory Murder has been stunning audiences at many of NYC's larger music venues such as the Highline Ballroom and they are planning to release another EP by this Summer.
Imbolg, another NYC city band known for their dark sounds reminiscent of Black Sabbath, Type O Negative and the Sisters of Mercy while adding a modern edge such rock classics as the Police's "So Lonely".Fronted by founding member Nate Dal Cais, the band was named after the pagan holiday of Imbolg, which is consistent with the ritual they perform onstage which includes burning sage and incense. Imbolg has recently formed their own independent label, Forever Autumn Records and will continue release albums and remixes while continuing to tour, and receiving positive reviews from the press.
The third band of the night is Edgey, the brainchild of longtime creator of electronic music Stephen Knight. Edgey offers a true Industrial/Breakcore noise sound sure to electrify any dancefloor. Having worked with several record labels including Hands Productions,Black Monolith,Industrial Strength and Hive Records, King's prowess in electronic music shows on their Seven studio albums and various remixes.
Leather & Lace will also feature two rooms with Djs spinning New Wave, Metal,Ebm,Goth,Industrial post punk. The Roster of Djs for the event includes Djs, Dreamtrancer,Dr. Avi, Twilight Assasin,Lugosi,Shellshock and Dj Kritzoff, best known for his work with his groundbreaking industrial band Bile.
Revolution Bar and Music Hall is located at 140 Merrick Road in Amityville,Near Broadway and Route 110. Doors open at 10PM - 4am.18 and up with ID. Admission is: $8 before 11PM or dressed in Fetish, Leather, Vinyl or Lace & $12 after and not dressed to theme.
