The First Annual March to College Day 2013 to be held on April 25th from 9:00 am- 1:30 pm. This event is a part of a national initiative known as Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (PACE). The PACE program involves members of our honor society becoming mentors to students to encourage them to think about pursuing a college career. In addition, the program is an established division of Colin Powell’s America’s Promise – The Alliance for Youth.March to College Day is the finale of the PACE program under NSCS that allows students to experience a day in the life of a college student. This year the Queens College chapter would like to invite students from your high schools to attend the March to College Day 2013 luncheon. During this time, students will enjoy presentations from guest speakers including Queen College (QC) administrators, alumni and current students.In addition, keeping close to the theme of the Year of India at Queens College, there will be performances incorporating the India culture such as traditional drums and . Students will also participate in leadership building exercises, icebreakers and other activities. This event will follow a professional setting, therefore business causal attire requested.
