Dear Fellow NUMC Alumni,
As a former resident at Nassau University Medical Center, you know our mission better than most. We are a safety net hospital, which means our goal is to provide the best possible care to our region’s most vulnerable populations. Complex challenges notwithstanding, we are very proud of the many achievements that have enabled us to live up to that mission and we’d like you to share in the pride. For the first time ever, we are inviting former residents back to the hospital for a special celebration of our progress and our potential. The event will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Call it a party with a purpose, and our purpose here is threefold: 1) to celebrate our accomplishments; 2) to engage your talent, ideas and resources to help position us for sustained growth, and; 3) to establish the founding alumnae leadership team that will provide an example of stewardship for others to follow for years to come. Please come and enjoy a lovely cocktail reception at Nassau University Medical Center and reunite with staff and colleagues. We will also conduct guided tours of several of the beautifully renovated new spaces on campus, and share the plans for a bold renovation of our campus housing. The event will be sponsored by the Medical Affairs Staff and the NuHealth Foundation (the 501c3 created to generate philanthropy for the hospital system) and is therefore free of charge.
Please share this invitation with your fellow alumni through your social networks, in case we missed any of them through our mailing process. Feel free to RSVP right away by calling 516.296.4934 and speak with Davis John Abraham in the foundation office. We look forward to seeing you at this event!Sincerely,Deidra Parrish Williams Arthur A. Gianelli, MA, MBA, MPH Steven J. Walerstein, MD, FACP
