Put some life back in your life. Are you 55 or older with an ongoing health condition such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, obesity, or anxiety? Sign up for a free six-week Living Healthy Workshop, a program developed by Stanford University to complement and enhance medical treatment and disease management. Topics include developing healthy food choices, maintaining strength and flexibility, evaluating new treatments, managing pain and fatigue, and positive thinking. Those who complete the program feel better, are less limited by their illness, and may spend less time at the doctor or hospital. This series will be facilitated by Pegi Orsino and Maureen McCarthy, Master Trainers from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. All participants will receive the companion book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions and the audio relaxation CD Time for Healing.
