Usher has been accused of stealing from The Simpsons - DJs in America have allegedly found similarities between his hit track "OMG" and a comedy Christmas carol featured in the animated show.

The "Yeah!" hitmaker's single, a collaboration with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, is alleged to be a rip-off of a tune sung by Homer Simpson in a 2003 episode of the longrunning cartoon series.

Usher sings the words, "Honey got a booty like pow, pow, pow. Honey got some boobies like wow, oh wow," while Simpson is heard singing, "Christmas in December, wow wow wow. Give me tons of presents, now now now."

Radio DJs in Mississippi have now mixed together the two songs and created the video below comparing the two lyrics, leading to online fans questioning whether the singer based his chart hit on The Simpsons song.

After the video was posted on YouTube.com one fan commented, "One song is awesome and funny, the other song is talentless and annoying as f***. Which is which?"

But others have defended Usher, with one writing on an entertainment website, "I bet Usher has more important stuff to do than watch a seven-year-old Simpsons episode and think, 'That'd be a great song!'"

Usher was hit with a plagiarism lawsuit last month from an aspiring singer who has accused the star and Alicia Keys of stealing 2004 track "Caught Up."
