We now have a NEW astrological sign???

By Astra

By now...I'm sure you've heard that thanks to Earth's axis shifting, your sign has been shifted backwards by about a month. Meaning I've gone from a Scorpio to a Libra - Um....I DON'T THINK SO!

But, if you happen to be born between November 29 - December 17 not only are you going to be upset about losing your sign, you're also thinking "WTF is Ophiuchus?!"

Well, here's what I've found out:

In mythology, Ophiucus is identified with the healer Asclepius, the son of Apollo, who was able to bring the dead back to life. Realizing his power, Hades convinced Zues to kill Asclepius with a lightning bolt, and he was placed into the stars as a constellation after his death. Ophiuchus is a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is Greek for 'serpent-bearer', and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the second-century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It was formerly referred to as Serpentarius English, a Latin word meaning the same as its current name.

According to the Minnesota Planetarium Society, here is where the real signs of the Zodiac should fall.

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.

Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.

Pisces: March 11-April 18.

Aries: April 18-May 13.

Taurus: May 13-June 21.

Gemini: June 21-July 20.

Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.

Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.

Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.

Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.

Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17. (this one is new)

Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

What do you think about this???
