I recently had the pleasure of being on set for the movie Winter’s Tale which is currently filming in NYC. It stars Colin Farrell, Russell Crowe, Will Smith, Jessica Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly and Matt Bomer – just to name a few.

I was told that I would be playing a “commuter” in the Grand Central Terminal scene with Colin. It was a long night of shooting, and lots of takes, but the experience was worth every minute and I would totally do it again in a heartbeat!!  The movie is scheduled to be released around Thanksgiving – let’s hope my scene makes the cut!

Here’s the storyline of the movie - New York City is subsumed in arctic winds, dark nights, and white lights, its life unfolds, for it is an extraordinary hive of the imagination, the greatest house ever built, and nothing exists that can check its vitality. One night in winter, Peter Lake (Colin Farrell), orphan and master-mechanic, attempts to rob a fortress-like mansion on the Upper West Side. Though he thinks the house is empty, the daughter of the house is home. Thus begins the love between Peter, a middle-aged Irish burglar, and Beverly Penn (Jessica Brown Findlay), a young girl, who is dying.

Funny back story, a few weeks before shooting for the movie, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Colin Farrell off of the set and when I initially met him, I honestly had no idea that it was him! (I admit I’m not a HUGE movie buff lol) We were talking about L&B Spumoni Gardens Pizza from Brooklyn and how amazingly good it tastes. I told him that he had to try the spumoni the next time he goes there. We were all having a pizza eating contest and rooting each other on. He was so humble and down to earth, and I honestly thought that he was just a friend of my friend! We were joking around, laughing and having a good time and then I was told that it was Colin.  I always knew his name, but I couldn’t believe that I was LITERALLY talking about pizza with the guy! After laughing about it with my friend, and conversing with him even more, I can honestly say that at the end of the day, he’s a normal, fun person just like you and I! In fact, he is one of the sweetest, most down to earth actors that I’ve ever met and to this day, if my friend never told me that I was hanging out with Colin Farrell, I probably still wouldn’t have a clue! LOL.  With that said, I can’t wait for the movie to come out so I can see Colin in action!
