A $1 Million “Chutes and Ladders” Playground Opened in Pennsylvania

If you’ve played “Chutes and Ladders”, you know it can be BRUTAL.  So I don’t know if this is a GOOD thing or a BAD thing . . .

A “Chutes and Ladders”-themed playground just opened in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  It looks just like it sounds . . . with dozens of slides and equipment to climb.  (At least they didn’t model it after the ORIGINAL game . . . “SNAKES and Ladders”.)

The playground took two years to design and build, and it cost more than $1 million.

The city posted some footage from yesterday’s opening day . . . and there are some hills involved, so it does feel reminiscent of the game.  But it’s also for very young kids, so it’s not nearly as harrowing as it could’ve been.

By the way, a park in New Mexico is building two huge, 100-FOOT SLIDES for kids.  They’re the biggest slides in the state . . . with a staircase to climb to get to the top.  So it’s a “chutes and ladders” situation for older kids.
