NYC — Here’s your behind the scenes look at AJ McLean’s album release party in New York City on Friday, January 9th.
I was invited to attend with two lucky listeners, for an exclusive first listen of AJ’s new album, titled ‘my name is Alexander James.’ AJ, or should we say, Alex, previewed each track, performed live, took photos AND danced with fans, and opened up with intimate personal stories about how these songs came to life.
This album was a labor of love, taking 4 years to make. One especially emotional moment included a prologue recorded by both of Alex’s daughters to introduce the album, and it was the very first time he heard it. Let’s just say..........tissues were definitely needed (for a friend).
He also FaceTimed with *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone while hosting the party. Which was a special treat for all the boyband fans in the room. AJ teased a solo upcoming tour, stated there are no details yet but, ‘its happening!’ WOW, sensory overload...in the best way.
It also happened to be AJ’s birthday, so we sang happy birthday to him with a cake! The energy in the room was incredible. The turnout was amazing, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for him.
