Long Island, you’ve always been with me through the highs and lows on this crazy journey we call life. And that’s why I’m so unbelievably humbled to finally share… there will be A LITTLE (BLI) BABY ARRIVING THIS FALL via surrogate!!!!! 🥹🩵🩷
While this post may seem exciting and joyful, the road to get here was anything but. And part of being fully transparent is sharing the truth behind it all. I never want to be someone who only posts the good parts and unintentionally makes others going through infertility feel even more alone. Because the truth is, so many people are dealing with this quietly behind closed doors.
My journey to motherhood has looked very different than most. With IVF and now surrogacy, I hope sharing this story can help shine a light on a topic that so many people still suffer through in silence. If you are struggling with infertility, please know this with everything in me: you are absolutely not alone.
Infertility changes you.
It’s heartbreak. It’s unanswered questions. It’s treatments that take everything out of you with no guarantees. But somehow, through all of that, there is hope.
Most importantly, we are endlessly grateful to our surrogate, who gave us the most selfless gift imaginable. She carries our dream for us, one we were slowly beginning to lose faith in, and she’s done so with so much love, care, and grace. Watching someone choose to help another family in this way has been the most humbling experience of my life.
