No matter how many adaptations of Cinderella we get, this will always be one of my favorites. The 2004 movie, Ella Enchanted was centered around Ella (Anne Hathaway) yep, a girl with an evil step mother and two evil step sisters, you guessed it. But in this version, she is cursed with the gift of involuntary obedience, which gets her into a lot of messes. She is on a journey to find her Godmother to get her to break the spell. IT IS SO GOOD.
So hearing a TV series is coming our way should be exciting to all of us fans! Personally...I’d prefer to let the film stand on it’s own, but the good news is Anne Hathaway is attached as an executive producer, so you know it is in good hands.

When 16-year-old Ella of Frell — cursed at birth to obey every command — is sent to boarding school after her mother’s untimely death, she begins to uncover the truth about her curse, builds an unlikely found family, and deals with an extremely inconvenient crush on the prince of her kingdom.

So from the sound of it, the TV series will have very little resemblence to the 2004 movie we all know and love! Guess we will have to wait and see!
