It’s National Ranch Dressing Day.  And Hidden Valley came into it with guns blazing:  They just announced a new ranch dressing ICE CREAM will be hitting Walmart stores later this month.

It’s a limited-time thing, so you’ll only have two months to try it.  They’ll start selling it on March 20th, and it’ll be around through the end of May.

They partnered with the ice cream brand Van Leeuwen, which makes lots of weird flavors.  They say it has, quote, “savory flavors of ranch, including buttermilk, flavorful herbs, and a touch of sweetness.”

A few people have tried it, and it sounds like it could be a hit for TRUE ranch lovers.  If you just LIKE ranch, you might not enjoy it.

People.com says there’s an oniony smell that’s kind of “off-putting,” but it tasted better than expected.

Writers at FoodAndWine.com also tried it.  One person said there’s a major garlic powder taste.  But someone else said it’s basically a sweeter version of ranch, and would go great with French fries.
