It’s official: Los Angeles just banned trick-or-treating in 2020

According to People, "Health officials said they were banning the annual activity because it would be “very difficult to maintain proper social distancing.”

Trick-or-Treat

It’s the headline we’ve all been dreading... Los Angeles has become the first or one of the first counties to BAN trick-or-treating in 2020! The reason they are making this a reality is apparent due to the nature of COVID and social distancing -- going door to door for candy is too unrealistic! According to People, “Health officials said they were banning the annual activity because it would be “very difficult to maintain proper social distancing.”

It would be difficult for anyone interested in finding a loophole as well since the county is not permitting car-to-car trick-or-treating either. They are urging residents to celebrate the holiday in alternative ways such as going to a themed meal in an outdoor restaurant, or a Halloween drive-in movie. Do you think you’ll be trick-or-treating this year?
