In a recent interview with Esquire, actor Jake Gyllenhaal broke his silence about the re-release of “All Too Well” (Taylor’s Version.)

In case you missed it, Taylor Swift released a short film in honor of the re-release of “All Too Well” (Taylor’s Version) in November. Since then, Swifites have taken over the internet with negative comments regarding Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift’s relationship. The short film featured Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink.

Gyllenhaal kept quiet about his thoughts...until now! In regards to the music video, Gyllenhaal doesn’t seem to have hard feelings about it. According to Esquire, “It is her expression. Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don’t begrudge anyone that,” Gyllenhaal said.

He did, however, state how cyberbullying is real...and he had plenty of it from Swifites. “At some point, I think it’s important when supporters get unruly that we feel a responsibility to have them be civil and not allow for cyberbullying in one’s name.”

In case you were wondering, he has not listened to the re-release of Red (Taylor’s Version.)
