Lewis Capaldi made an emotional return to the Glastonbury Festival today after taking two years off from music to focus on his physical and mental health.
His last full performance before his break was at the Glastonbury Festival in 2023 where he was struggling with a strained vocal cord and symptoms of Tourette syndrome. He had to cut his set short, and after the show took to social media to announce his break from touring.
Two years later, he was greeted by the biggest crowd of the weekend so far and said “the last three years haven’t been the best — they’ve been difficult at times,”
He performed a 35 minute set and got to perform his brand new song “Survive” which just released today!
Lewis told the crowd “second time’s a charm with this one, eh? It’s just a short set today and to finish what I couldn’t finish the first time.” To see Lewis get back on the same stage where he struggled two years ago is so powerful. We couldn’t be happier that he’s in a good place to return to the stage and make amazing music again!
