Need To Know Aug 1: Wing Flavored Lip Gloss, Snoop Dog on the Shelf This Christmas, & MORE!

Ally Ali’s Need To Know, Monday August 1st:

Applebee’s Wings Lip Gloss: Applebee’s is now selling its own line of lip glosses that are supposed to taste like CHICKEN WINGS.

It’s called Saucy Gloss, and there are four types:  Hot Buffalo . . . Sweet Chile . . . Honey Pepper . . . and Barbecue.  (Because what’s classier than make-up that tastes like bar food?)

If that’s something you’d actually WANT to wear, they partnered with a make-up brand, and they’re selling them at WinkyLux.com/SaucyGloss.

Each tube costs $18, or you can get all four for $65.

They’re using the tagline “Taste My Face.”

Snoop On The Stoop:

This Christmas, Snoop Dogg is helping out Santa! Forget the Elf on the Shelf and grab a Snoop on the Stoop! Check out the pics and where to buy HERE!

Fancy Feast Human Pop-Up Restaurant: The brand Fancy Feast is opening a pop-up restaurant in New York next week, where all the food is based on their CAT FOOD flavors.

It’s called Gatto Bianco, which means “White Cat” in Italian.  They got a Michelin Star chef to come up with dishes for humans based on Fancy Feast recipes.  But only 16 people will get to eat there over two days.

It’s really just a gimmick, and the food doesn’t actually look like cat food at all.  The main courses include salmon with saffron risotto . . . baked sea bass with capers and olives . . . and braised beef with spinach and polenta.

Also, we’re pretty sure a few of the ingredients in the desserts would be TOXIC for cats:  Lemon panna cotta . . . espresso ice cream . . . and chocolate-covered almond cake.  (Cats can’t have lemon, coffee, or chocolate.)

To snag a spot, you have to visit their page on OpenTable.com this Thursday at noon Eastern.

Candy Taste Test for Kids: A website called Candy Funhouse sells candy online.  And they’re looking to hire their first “Chief Candy Officer” with a salary of $100,000 a year.

Anyone over the age of FIVE can apply, and there’s no previous work experience necessary.  You just have to love candy . . . be willing to taste-test a ton of it . . . and have no serious food allergies.

They’re based in Canada, so that’s 100 grand in Canadian dollars, or about $78,000 U.S.  But they say the job can be done remotely.

The main job duties are being their “head taste-tester” and deciding which products to carry.  One story we saw claimed you have to taste-test 3,500 candies a MONTH, or more than 100 a day.  But whoever wrote that is wrong.  That’s just the total number of products they currently sell.

If you . . . or your child . . . are interested, you have until the end of August to apply on LinkedIn.  They say it comes with “an extensive dental plan.”
