I implore you all to social distance and stay safe while supporting local mom and pop shops and restaurants this weekend, but if by chance you decide to stay in, order some takeout, and watch some movies…. Well I got you covered! Prior to this lockdown, I couldn’t tell you one thing to watch on TV! MY list of suggestions ranged from “The Golden Girls… to…. The Golden Girls” ! But now I’ve become some type of movie / tv connoisseur if you will and I’m ready to bless you all with my knowledge!

For The Family:

My first suggestion if you’re looking for something for the family and HILARIOUS… you need to watch: THE WRONG MISSY - Disaster strikes when a man invites his dream girl to an island resort -- but a previous blind date shows up instead…. This one is absolutely hilarious!

Another absolutely hilarious film is: THE WEEK OF - Starring Adam Sandler & Chris Rock, these two fathers with opposing personalities come together to celebrate the wedding of their children. They are forced to spend the longest week of their lives together, and the big day cannot come soon enough. Expect to laugh the entire way through this very funny film which was actually shot right here on Long Island!

For The Adults:

My first suggestion of the adults has to be: EXTRACTION - The Chris Hemsworth monstrous action packed movie all about a black-market mercenary who has nothing to lose is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. It’s so great… you can tell they had a massive budget on this film. It gets extremely gory at parts, so best to watch this one after you’ve tucked them in for the night.

If you’re looking for a long and dark series to keep you entertained, busy, and extremely anxious… OZARK - Created by Bill Dubuque (“The Accountant,” “The Judge”), this drama series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial planner who relocates his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks. With wife Wendy and their two kids in tow, Marty is on the move after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong, forcing him to pay off a substantial debt to a Mexican drug lord in order to keep his family safe. While the Byrdes’ fate hangs in the balance, the dire circumstances force the fractured family to reconnect. There are 3 seasons with 10 episodes each season averaging about an hour per episode. So if you’re looking to pass some time really quickly during quarantine…. This is for you!
