Is it Christmas or Halloween? Nope. But does it feel like it is? YUP! comicbook.com confirms that there is reportedly a Nightmare Before Christmas sequel novel due to hit shelves by July 2022. Disney Publishing has hired author Shea Ernshaw to pen the novel from Sally’s point of view, which continues after Jack & Sally’s first kiss.
According to comicbook.com, Ernshaw hopes to draw as much dimension from Sally in this book as was drawn to Jack in the original movie. She says, “What does a ragdoll truly want out of life? What is she afraid of? And how much is she willing to risk to save those she loves? As we will learn in the book, she’s willing to risk quite a lot. Sally is one of the most compelling, and also richly-layered characters I’ve ever written, and it’s an honor to get to tell her story.” We can’t wait to see what the finished product will look like and if a movie will follow!
