On Saturday morning, CNN and Sesame Street joined forces to educate kids and adults about important issues with an hour-long special titled: Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families.

With so much going on, it is important to be open and honest about the current state of the world with your kids. With the help of CNN and Sesame Street, approaching the topic on everyone’s mind could help many understand.

"Elmo wants to end racism too. Elmo wants everybody to be treated fairly," the beloved character said.
