Did You Know You Can Make Diamonds From A Common Household Liquor?!

Friday is here, we made it!! The weekend has arrived!! Let’s close out the week with another round of random facts!!

-- Did you know that anyone in Sweden can get a copy of anyone else's tax returns and find out how much money they make? The only catch is that the person whose returns you request will get a message telling them that you did.

-- Here’s a weird one! There are "lefty" and "righty" snails . . . and they can't mate with each other because their genitalia don't line up.

-- And finally, got any tequila around the house? Well, if you’re a scientist, you can make diamonds with that tequila! Yep, true story. Scientists note that 80-proof tequila (40 percent alcohol) has the ideal proportion of ethanol to water to create diamond films. In order to make the diamonds, they evaporated the tequila into a vapor and then heated the vapor above 1400 degrees Fahrenheit before depositing it on silicon or stainless steel trays.
