Hello everyone & welcome to 2019. It’s a real doozy, let me tell you! Not really sure what’s happening to the human race, but this is where we’re at. On Tuesday, a horribly Photoshopped image of an Instagram privacy policy statement starting swirling around the internet. It starts off with “Don’t forget tomorrow starts the new Instagram rule where they can use your photos. Don’t forget Deadline today!!! It can be used in court cases in litigation against you.” And this is where I lost all hope in humanity. If you’re an Instagram user, 90% of your feed was people reposting this, as if a judge would actually use this picture as a reason to not use something you posted on Instagram in a court of law. “Your honor, I know there’s a video of my robbing that bank, but I posted a picture of August 21, 2019 that states you’re not allowed to use my material in a court of law.” YOU’RE CLEARLY AN IDIOT IF YOU BELIEVE THIS. First of all, you’re putting this stuff on the INTERNET! You’re sharing it with the whole WORLD! If you don’t want to be judged for it, than don’t share it! Anywany, Stars like Debra Messing, Rob Lowe, Usher and so many more fell for a hoax & thought they took the power away from authorities to use their stuff in court. Julia Roberts, Taraji Henson, 2 Chainz, Scooter Braun, Judd Apatow, Josh Brolin, Adriana Lima, Rita Wilson, Julianne Moore, T.I, Pink and more reposted the image sharing on their social media accounts. Later, when it was revealed that it was a joke, many of them took it down, with performers like Pink mocking herself for believing it. She captioned her post, “Awww look at that pretty face” along with a laughing face emoji. Hey aliens, if you’re watching us, SEND HELP! THANKS!
