Kristen Hansen is a brand new nurse at Stony Brook Hospital.

Kristen is the founder for the Adopt A Nurse Suffolk County Long Island Facebook page.

“This is nothing like I’ve ever seen before and I hope that I’ll never see again.”

The Smithtown native graduated from NYU in May 2019 and started working at Stony Brook hospital in January 2020.

“I used to specialize in surgery,  but I can specialize in COVID at this point.”

While working night shifts and juggling around 600 submissions, Kristen couldn’t do it all without the help of her fellow admins Debbie Sexton, Stay-cee Dee, Anna Kadian & Candice Cantore.

Adopt A Nurse Suffolk County Long Island has matched and had around 500 nurses adopted.
