Singer and songwriter, Jordan McGraw is currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers and Bebe Rexha all part of the “Happiness Begins” Tour, but he took the time out of his busy schedule to stop by the BLI studio for a chat with “Tangorra Takeover” host, Nick Tangorra!
Nick immediately jumped into question asking Jordan what is it like being on the most talked about tour of the year and probably the decade…
“It’s everything you’d expect it to be…It’s just like nonstop fun,” Jordan explained. “Everybody really is happy and the crowds are just amazing!”
“And uh… a lot of tequila?,” Nick jokingly asked.
“yeah yeah a lot… i wouldn’t say too much!”
“yeah the perfect amount”
“yeah.. perfect amount”
Nick later asked Jordan to paint a picture for listeners about the moment he was asked to go on tour with the Jonas Brothers.
“It was Saint Patricks day.. actually.. I had a green beer in my hand and all three brothers called me on speaker phone and asked if I wanted to go on tour,” Jordan said. “I was like ‘guys… this is not a question like… uh… yes I wanna go!’”
Jordan later joked with the host laughing, “Let me see what I can do” in reference to accepting the massive tour offer.
During the 8pm hour of the “Tangorra Takeover” featuring Jordan McGraw, the singer also discussed his latest single, “Met At A Party” featuring “Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland!
“Did you guys meet at a party?,” Nick asked.
“I wish haha no I didn’t”
“No?”
“She is a party though?”
“Alright alright.. that counts!”
“Yeah she’s a lot of fun!”
He went on to tell the story behind “Met At A Party” and how this feel-good party anthem came about. “I recorded the song just me and it was obviously missing something… because we went back and fixed it. But before we could talk about who we wanted on the feature, she (Sarah) heard the song and she started putting her own music together and was like ‘this is an awesome song… kinda like what I wanna do!’ and we were like ‘funny you ask! It’s available!’ So we went in and did it… almost immediately. That day actually!”
WOW! It was also learned that Sarah and Jordan also met that day in the studio! Total professionals!
