Lindenhurst knows how to show their Lindy Pride! Lindenhurst came together last Saturday to throw 6 year old Jaxson Ginsberg a drive by parade to celebrate his final chemotherapy treatment. This great accomplishment was done amidst the coronavirus pandemic and we at BLI are so happy to see Jax home and healthy!

Strong Island Car Parades 4 Kids helped get the community together to make this parade a huge event!

According to Patch.com, this was originally going to be a small party with friends and family. The community-wide parade in celebration of Ginsberg finally completing his treatment after over three years of chemotherapy for his leukemia included the Lindenhurst mayor, NYPD, the Fire Lieutenant, teachers and many others with all types of vehicles.

A rainbow arch was even donated by Long island’s own Gigis Imagination.

And this just happened... Joe Greeff Gigis Imagination Strong Island Car Parades 4 Kids Group I just have no words. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!!! #NoMoChemo #cancerChoseTheWrongKid #HesGonnaChangeTheWorld #DestinedForGreatness #FightLikeAKid #LikeABoss

Jaxon's mom Melissa Digiacomo told Patch.com, "Quarantine is nothing abnormal for a immunosuppressed family. Missing out on a lot of things over the last 3 ½ years had become the 'normal,'" Digiacomo said. "But Jax is ready and going to really start living life now! We started out rough, it got worse before it got bearable but we finished strong, having hundreds of people to celebrate when we didn't think it was possible. It's exactly what we needed to start the next chapter!"

Suffolk County Police Asian Jade Society and IOS - Indian Officers' Society were proud to be a part of the community...
