Principal Bans Candy Canes Because They’re Shaped Like A “J” For Jesus

Well friends.. We’ve reached the pinnacle of ridiculous.  Jennifer Sinclair is the principal at Manchester Elementary School in Elkhorn, Nebraska & she recently sent out a memo to the staff about what is & isn’t acceptable during the holidays.  She wants things with a religious theme thrown out the window.... Including candy canes!  Why? Quote, "Historically, the shape is 'J' for Jesus. The red is the blood of Christ, and the white is a symbol of his resurrection."  I’m done. I just can not. I’ve never heard of anything so insane. Naturally, this fired up a war on Christmas soldiers around the U.S & parents who flooded the district with phone calls.   But as extreme as Jennifer was with her policy, the school district's response seems pretty extreme too. They wound up suspending Jennifer while they investigate. That’s not all... They’ve gotten so many angry calls that they're putting police in the school on the outside chance that some misguided person tries something. Way to kill the Christmas spirit, Jen!
