Kayla Stockert loves to sing, but when she started working at Starbucks, her singing dropped on her priorities list. She still played with her brothers, who also happened to work at Starbucks. Their mom thought this was a pretty cool story, so she featured her talented coffee making trio in the Starbucks Partner Hub, the company’s internal newsletter. A couple months later, Stockert, of Sayville, found out someone from corporate was trying to reach her and immediately thought she was in trouble. "I received a phone call from someone who worked for cooperate Starbucks and they offered me and my siblings an amazing opportunity to be featured on their new upcoming holiday commercial," Stockert said. The Stockert siblings were featured in Starbuck’s holiday commercial for it’s Peppermint Mocha. “In very short notice, we were able to fly out to California to be featured on the commercial.” While filming, Starbucks offered her a chance to write the song to be submitted for a chance to be chosen to be used in the commercial. “I agreed to write a song when I got home to New York, I contacted an old producer & asked for help, we wrote the sang, & bam- they selected my song to be played in the background. It was the best news of my entire life.” -
