Scotty Sire Discusses New Music and Honesty in Debut Album

With over 2.6 Million Followers on Instagram and 2.7 Million Active Subscribes on YouTube, Scotty Sire has already attracted a major audience through his comedic and entertaining vlogs. Now Scotty is turning his subscribers into diehard fans through the release of his latest music.

Scotty joined the Tangorra Takeover’s June 21st 2019 show via phone to discuss his new music and message.

Nick Tangorra (host): “From one artist from another, Scotty, your music and your lyrics feel so real and they feel genuine and feel honest and I can really appreciate that because not only are you creating art, but you’re creating your art and you’re telling your story.”

Scotty Sire: “It’s super important for me to make sure that every song is authentic and it feels like it is coming from me because I could never... like buy a song that someone else had written and just release it as is. I need to be telling my own story.”

During the interview, the 27 year old rapper opened up about the writing process behind his hits “Get Better” and his latest single, “Notice Me” explaining when he writes he usually has a concept or some words written down a head of time before working with producers.

“...I’ll work with producers who help me co-write the song (mostly structurally), but it’s my message that we build upon together.”

Scotty is very honest in his lyrics and has been attracting a major fan base through his authenticity and ability to keep it very real in his music. He explained, “I like to talk about things that happen daily in my life, feelings that I have and stuff like that. Luckily, a lot of people feel the same way I do so it seems to resonate and people can relate to the music.”

With a combined following of nearly 10 million online followers across social media, Scotty is constantly living his life in front of the world so being incredibly honest with internal feelings can be tough, naturally, for anyone. However, Scotty explains how his honesty has been so relatable to so many of his fans and that their support encourages him to continue making music from the heart.

“It might’ve been difficult for me at first and I think that’s why in the beginning a lot of my songs were more light hearted and joking around. I made jokes like my first song was called ‘Bad Song’ and the whole thing was just like kinda a goofy rap about how little things make me sad, but it was so fun that it wasn’t taken super seriously, but people can still relate to it. I’ve moved into being more serious about it and talking about issues that I actually do have and not putting the jokes so much into it so that it comes off more genuine and more sincere.

During the interview Scotty and Nick mentioned the possibility about a collab in the future between the two artists.

Nick: “You know what man? I think we gotta get into the studio together and do a song. I’m just saying I’ve got some stuff in the arsenal you know what I’m saying we gotta do something together.”

Scotty: “Yeah! Let’s do it! Let’s link up and make some tunes and mash together the California and the New York!”

Now we wait and see!
