Lorraine Warren died in her sleep Thursday night at 92. Lorraine is the woman Vera Farmiga plays in the "Conjuring" movies. She and her husband Ed, who died in 2006, were world famous paranormal researchers. They investigated more than 3,000 unexplained "disturbances", including the house at the center of "The Amityville Horror" and the possessed doll of the "Annabelle" franchise. Vera Tweeted, quote, "My dear friend Lorraine Warren has passed. From a deep feeling of sorrow, a deep feeling of gratitude emerges. I was so blessed to have known her and am honored to portray her." Patrick Wilson who plays Ed in the "Conjuring" movies, said, quote, "The heavens will surely burn a little brighter tonight . . . I will miss the stories, the laughter, and the guidance. Rest In Peace, Sweet Lorraine. Tell Ed I said hello."
