Real Housewife of New Jersey star, Jackie Goldschneider, joined Nick Tangorra on 106.1 BLI’s ‘Tangorra Takeover’ to talk about the Season 12 drama, her journey with food, a possible invitation to Teresa’s wedding, and updates regarding her relationships with fellow cast members since the reunion.

The reality star, 44, spoke about her struggles with food and how showing her journey to recovery on television held her accountable.

“…A great side effect to saving my own life was the volume of messages I got from mothers, fathers, sisters,…people who said they didn’t understand and now they do.” Goldschneider added that her journey is inspiring others to evaluate their own relationship with food and make a healthy change in their lives if necessary. “A lot of people reached out to me saying that watching my story helped them understand that they are not in a healthy space with their own eating habits and they want to get help now so it was so unbelievable for me. The feedback made it so validating. It felt so good.”

As far as how she’s doing today, the mom of 4 says she’s doing great! “I still have work to do, but I’m in such a healthier place.” Goldschneider now feels that she has found her purpose in life. “I do believe this is my purpose and I found it by being on the show….My purpose is to bring awareness to eating disorders and to help myself and other women love their body no matter what size they are and really just help people come out of this because it is a living hell. It’s horrible and it can kill you.”

ON HER ISSUES WITH TERESA GUIDICE:

Jackie Goldschneider appeared to have a really good year with her being in the driving seat of her story. “It’s been a great season for me. I mean coming off of my third season when Teresa started that rumor about Evan nothing could’ve been worse than that. I went from being in the hot seat that entire season to really being able to concentrate on my own story line.”

As you may recall, last season on ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ cast member, Teresa Guidice told the group that she heard a rumor about Jackie’s husband, Evan. The rumor was that he was having an affair, but when questioned where Teresa heard it or what she knew, Teresa ‘couldn’t remember’.

“I know that she started it (the rumor). I’ve heard from multiple sources that she (Teresa Guidice) had discussions with certain people. She thought it was a boring party and she wanted to spice it up so she did what she did. I think that she’s been on the show a very long time and she knows what sells. She knows what makes an exciting season.”

Not holding back, Goldschneider explained the hurt that followed the creation and spreading of this rumor, “I think that she thought that I was an easy target. You know, my heart was really broken by that and Evan’s heart was broken and I don’t think that she anticipated, you know, my response which was an analogy, but clearly she didn’t take it like that and she started a whole war over it. I think that the whole season was just so toxic and awful. I wish that it never happened.”

THE STATUS OF HER RELATIONSHIP WITH JENNIFER AYDIN AFTER THE REUNION:

Another cast member that Jackie has had her fair share of ups and downs with is Stay-At-Home mom, Jennifer Aydin. Earlier this season, Margaret Josephs (and friend of the ‘Tangorra Takeover’) shed light on Jennifer’s husband’s prior affair. Jackie offered her friendship to Jennifer, but was eventually met with hostility later in the season. “When it ended (the season), we gave each other a hug and we were like ‘next season let’s not be this vile to each other’, but then we haven’t spoken so who knows. She’s very unpredictable. She can be very warm and fun and friendly in one instance, and then completely turn and try to destroy you the next day. It’s hard.”

OPINION OF LUIS (TERESA’S FIANCÉ)

Teresa Guidice’s fiancé, Luis Ruelas and their ‘love bubble’ became a major topic this season after the women had some questions about Luis’ past. As reported by ‘The Sun’, Luis was accused of “controlling and abusive” behavior by an ex from when he proposed in February 2019 to October 2019. Much of Teresa’s anger this season stemmed from the woman, particularly Margaret Joseph’s questioning of his past that has been highly publicized by various media outlets.

“I think Luis is a good guy, but the jury is still out though so I would want to see more.” Goldschneider added, “He’s great. He’s very charming. He’s smart. He’s nice. He’s calm (in contrast) with the person you hear about in all of the bad press. I don’t like to invalidate what women have said and just say they are crazy ex’s. I’m trying to maintain a middle ground and let time show us who he really is. He seems nice in person…he really does.”
