Reality TV is a guilty pleasure for many, serving as a way for us to get our share of drama from the comfort of our couch without ever having to be involved in any of our own. The Real Housewives franchise on Bravo TV has been a fixture in homes all across the country. This year and this Season 12 of Real Housewives of New Jersey are no exception!

Star of the show & fan favorite, Margaret Josephs has found herself in the middle of tons of drama this season. From bringing Jennifer Aydin’s husband’s cheating past to the forefront and asking questions about Theresa Guidice’s finance’s background, Margaret has had us glued to our screens. Ahead of the season finale, Margaret Josephs called into the Tangorra Takeover to speak with host Nick Tangorra all about this shocking season and the upcoming heated cast reunion.

On bringing up the Jennifer / Bill Cheating Past

Earlier in the season, Margaret pointed out that roughly 10 years ago, Jennifer Aydin’s husband, Bill, cheated on Jennifer while she was pregnant. Margaret explained why she brought this up and if she ever thought it would play out so viciously with Jennifer reliving the experience and now years later questioning her marriage to Bill.

“I had no idea that It was going to lead up to that. It was about the hypocrisy… not about Bill’s affair or anything like that. It just was about Jen, you know, pretending everything is perfect and chastising me and making it out like he (Bill) is the greatest, but I’m like the biggest, horrible person in the entire universe. I thought she would see her part and it would’ve been like cut the c*** and it would’ve been over and done with. I had no idea this was a wound still festering. Otherwise, I would’ve never said it. I had no idea she was going to be so upset for so long.”

Fans of the show might’ve heard whispers of cheating rumors in the past. If you remember a few seasons back on that famous trip to Cabo, during an explosive fight at dinner, Margaret ‘hit a nerve’ with Jennifer suggesting her husband Bill sleeps in the pool-house and girlfriend’s bed. This after Jennifer made comments referencing a ‘pattern’ of infidelity in both Margaret Josephs and her mother, Marge Sr. When Jennifer returned to the table, Margaret apologized about her comments and said it was a ‘low blow’ and indicated she knew absolutely nothing about rumors of Bill cheating. Well, when asked, Margaret sang a slightly different tune.

“Of course I knew something, but I was like she’s a new housewife… She was so visibly shaken. And I was like ‘okay she’s going to dial it back’, but she didn’t dial it back… she would constantly say snide comments even after that. What upset me the most was last year when I revealed my sexual harassment in my book. She (Jennifer) said ‘I (Margaret) slept my way to the top… I was slutty, I was all of these things’, I was like ‘something is wrong here’. How could you throw so many stones when your husband had slept with a subordinate and you know it. Obviously (Jennifer) forgave him and you think that’s okay and you see people making mistakes so what is wrong here?”

On Theresa’s Nashville Apology:

There has also been no shortage of drama between Margaret and Theresa this season. As any curious and protective friend would, Margaret had a few questions about Theresa Guidice’s then-boyfriend now- fiancé, Luis Ruelas. Theresa chose not to address any of the headlines and tabloids surrounding their relationship which ultimately left room for fan and journalistic commentary. Sadly, Margaret ended up being on the receiving end of Theresa’s wrath. During what should’ve been a nice night out with the ladies and their husbands in Nashville, TN., Theresa accused Margaret of talking to tabloids and spreading misinformation about her finance, Luis. That’s when the frustration got too much and Theresa hurled an entire table of drinks at Margaret.

The following evening, Theresa showed up to dinner and made an “apology” to the group, but Margaret wasn’t buying it.

“It wasn’t an apology. It was a list of excuses. It was ridiculous. Theresa (Guidice) doesn’t know how to apologize. It’s always ‘I’m sorry for the way you feel’, there’s always a ‘but’ , ‘you provoked me’… so that was an apology that was a declaration to the group of an excuse for her behavior.”
