Grab your Post-it notes and dust off your businesswoman suits because Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is officially getting a sequel!
Nearly three decades after the beloved 1997 cult classic hit theaters, stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are returning to reprise their iconic roles as best friends Romy White and Michele Weinberger. Even better? The duo will also serve as executive producers on the highly anticipated project.
The sequel is currently in production and will stream on Hulu, giving longtime fans a chance to reunite with some familiar faces. Returning cast members reportedly include Alan Cumming as Sandy Frink, Janeane Garofalo as Heather, Camryn Manheim as Toby, and Julia Campbell as Christie.
The sequel will also welcome several newcomers, including Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Huebel, Breckin Meyer, Patrick Warburton, and Nathan Lee Graham.
Plot details are still under wraps, but if the original film’s devoted fanbase is any indication, this reunion could be one of the most anticipated comedy sequels in years.
Are you excited to see Romy and Michele back together? Because honestly, we’d invent a new kind of Post-it note just to celebrate. 💕📎🎬
