There’s NOTHING that makes you appreciate the marvel of modern travel . . . like being in the middle of a vessel traveling at a very high rate of speed, and having the DOOR FLY OFF.
Earlier this year, Boeing made headlines after a “door plug” ripped off in the middle of a flight . . . creating a HOLE in the side of the plane.
Now, on the ground, Volkswagen is recalling nearly 100,000 electric SUVs, because the doors could fly open unexpectedly while driving.
Unlike the Boeing plane, these cars aren’t missing bolts . . . Volkswagen says they’re basically faulty door handles. The handles may allow water to get into the circuit board, which could cause them to malfunction.
You should take your car to the dealership to be fixed if you have one of these vehicles: ID.4 electric crossovers, model years 2021 to 2024. It doesn’t sound like there have been any actual accidents caused by this yet though.
