Grab your broom sticks because the Sanderson Sisters are officially flying back to Salem! Disney is reportedly moving forward with Hocus Pocus 3, and yes… the iconic trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are all expected to return.
According to reports, the movie is currently in early development at Disney, years after fans started begging for another sequel following the success of Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+.
Even more exciting? There are rumblings this installment could actually get a theatrical release instead of going straight to streaming.
While plot details are still being kept under wraps, writer Jen D’Angelo is reportedly returning, and there’s already speculation the story could continue expanding the magical universe introduced in the second film.
The original Hocus Pocus premiered back in 1993 and became one of the biggest cult Halloween movies of all time. Fans have kept the Sanderson Sisters alive for decades with annual rewatches every spooky season.
Honestly… it wouldn’t feel like Halloween without them.
