Six Flags Great Adventure gets rid of Kingda Ka, the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster

The Kingda Ka located at Six Flags in New Jersey has been dubbed the world's tallest roller coaster towering at an amazing 456 feet (45 stories); it also has the biggest drop at 418 feet. It is the fastest coaster in North America. You better be ready for this coaster because it has a takeoff that goes from 0 to 128 mph in just 3.5 seconds!

A day I didn’t think would come, but I’m so sad to share. Six Flags Great Adventure is removing Kingda Ka from their park.

The reason? According to CBS News, the park is making unveiling a “multi-record breaking launch coaster” that will debut in 2026.

CBS News also reported that The Twister and Parachute rides are leaving the park as well to help with the expansion.
