The CW is developing an upcoming series bringing the Powerpuff Girls back to life... literally! It’ll be a live-action series version of the iconic 90′s Cartoon Network cartoon and the cast has been revealed.
Playing the Powerpuff Girls’ mad scientist stepfather, will be Donald Faison. You may know him from playing Murray in Clueless, or Dr. Christopher Turk on Scrubs!
According to People, Chloe Bennett, from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, will play Blosson, Dove Cameron of Descendants will play Bubbles, and Yana Perrault from Jagged Little Pill the musical will play Buttercup.
The show will center around Professor Utonium “staring down a midlife crisis” and “is determined to repair his relationships with his now-adult daughters.” The show will air on the CW, an official release date has not been slotted yet.
