Cult New York classic Seinfeld has been one of the few shows to not spark a reunion after so many iconic shows have gotten back together if only for a table read. Jerry Seinfeld is clearing up any rumors of a reunion that may have been swirling.
In a press junket Friday, the comedian expressed that there is “absolutely nothing going on,” involving a reunion or reboot of the sitcom. Seinfeld is due to debut on Netflix with all seasons this week. Speculators were suspicious that this may have meant a further deal involving breathing new life back into the show. Seinfeld went on to refer to himself as a “nostalgic person.” He recalls often revisiting the house he grew up in Massapequa and returning to Citifield, remembering spending his childhood at ballgames. However, he went on to explain that he likes to “go forward in life.” The comedian also hinted at the fact that the cast might not mesh as well in 2021 as they did when the show aired.
Seinfeld will make its streaming debut on October 1st on Netflix with all nine seasons.
