Black Authors Festival

Black Authors Festival

In Sag Harbor on Saturday, August 1st is the Black Authors Festival! This extraordinary in-person experience brings together aspiring and established authors, readers, scholars, global thought leaders, and cultural influencers for an unforgettable celebration of inspiration, dialogue, legacy, quiet luxury, and transformation.

Founded on the historic shores of Martha’s Vineyard, the Black Authors Festival helped establish a powerful literary tradition that inspired the growth of additional Black book festivals throughout the Vineyard.

Today, the Festival proudly calls Sag Harbor, New York home, a place of profound cultural significance and deep personal meaning to Founder Darlene Williams, who grew up on Eastern Long Island.
