9/16 - Bohemians, India Lake & Natalie & The Damn Shandys | VuDu Studios - Port Jefferson

Bohemians is an alternative rock band based on Long Island, in Manorville. After playing in different bands during middle school, band mates Eric Milton (keys, guitar), Luke Lotardo (vox, guitar, keys), and Eric Pubins (drums) joined together in 2012. To complete the group, bassist Perry Ladouceur joined a year after. Bohemians released a self titled EP, and is currently working on a second album. In the meantime, they’re releasing singles, music videos, and being recognized by Drake Bell for their recent video “Grow.” Bohemians grew up listening to Daughtry and Nickleback on WBLI in the early 2000s, so were psyched to speak with Syke. Songs to check out are “Start Creating” and “Hints.”

India Lake is a seventeen year old girl from New York City who is just starting her journey into the music industry. Don’t be fooled, however, India started playing music at age seven when she learned the ukulele. India never thought of pursuing music professionally until the age of fifteen. She began creating and recording music with her friends, and things have picked up quickly since then. India played her first show on New Years in 2018, and over the summer played at a music festival in England. Now, in between homework and college applications, India Lake is creating new music and playing shows. Songs to look out for are “Girl in New York City,” “High,” and “Coming of Age,” a song to be released soon that centers around the current issue of gun violence in high schools.

Natalie Grunnan is a country musician who grew up in San Diego, California. Two years ago, she moved from the farm to New York City to pursue her music career. Natalie came to New York not knowing anyone, so she took a risk and started looking online to meet people to create music with. Natalie got lucky, by meeting guitarist Rob online, and they soon began songwriting together. Natalie’s soon to be released album will be titled “Overlook Trail.” The songs on this album are Natalie looking over the last seven years of her life— all the relationships, friendships, and adventures she’s been through. Natalie & The Damn Shandys music is yet to be released, but is soon to come. Songs to check out are “48 Polaroid,” “Live in a Shoe,” and “Ain’t No Daddy’s Girl.”
