🩷 A little about the Paige Keely Foundation:
The foundation was created in memory of Paige Keely, whose sudden passing at the age of 6 years old brought to light how little public awareness exists surrounding brain AVMs—abnormal tangles of blood vessels that can lead to hemorrhagic stroke, seizures, and other devastating outcomes.
Their mission is to help change that through education, advocacy, community awareness, and support of medical research with Stony University Hospital, focused on earlier detection and improved outcomes.
Through our work, we strive to:
- Increase awareness of brain AVMs and related neurological conditions
- Educate families and communities about warning signs and the importance of early detection
- Support advancements in imaging, screening, and risk assessment
- Partner with medical professionals and researchers to improve outcomes and save lives
Our AVM Awareness & Family Fall Fest is an opportunity to bring families and the community together while helping spread an important life saving message. We are currently seeking community and media partners who can help us reach more Long Island families and raise awareness of this often-overlooked condition.
