A K-pop band from the same label that produced superstars BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, CORTIS are a similarly diverse group of young creators mixing choreography, video, and bright, hook-driven pop. They debuted in August 2025 with "What You Want" ahead of their first EP, Color Outside the Lines.

The phrase "color outside the lines" forms the basis for the band's name, emphasizing their commitment to creativity and pushing boundaries. Members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho were formed by the influential South Korean label Big Hit Music, each one bringing a different strength into the group's mix. CORTIS made their formal debut in early August 2025 with the single "What You Want," an eclectic blend of shimmering psychedelic guitar, hip-hop beats, and soaring vocal melodies. The song paved the way for their debut EP, Color Outside the Lines, which arrived that September, hitting number two on the South Korean Circle Albums chart and reaching number 15 on the Billboard 200. ~ Timothy Monger
