It was an exciting night for best actress Academy Award winner Frances McDormand.
Not only did she take home her second gold statuette Sunday night, someone had the guts to steal it during one of the ceremony’s after parties.
A rep for McDormand told CNN that a person walked off with her award during the Governor’s Ball.
Variety is reporting that the person in question was identified as Terry Bryant and he was charged with felony grand theft. His bail was set at $20,000.
Security at the Governors Ball are looking for this guy, who grabbed Frances McDormand’s Oscar and ran out with it. Wolfgang Puck’s photographer stopped him, got the Oscar back, and the guy disappeared back into the ball. Apparently Frances has said to let him go. #Oscars#Dramapic.twitter.com/5tlsx4Ulwt
