The reason is small metal wire pieces in the pajamas could puncture or cut a child.

The recall affects only the yellow, footed pajamas with an animal graphic and an allover heart design. They were sold in 12M, 18M and 24M sizes. The style is number 10102410, which can be found on the care tag inside the pajamas.

The UPC number — 195861313861, 195861313878 or 195861313885 — is on the same tag.

Both the style and UPC numbers are also found on the garment’s price tag.

The CPSC said the pajamas should not be used and to return them to a Carter’s store location for a full refund via gift card. The pajamas can also be returned by mail. Consumers are being told to call 800-692-4674 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. You can also visit cartersrecall.com for more information.
